BOARD OF ALDERMEN MEETING MINUTES

SPECIAL MEETING – 2005 TAX RATE

AUGUST 29, 2005

 

 

The special meeting of the New Franklin Board of Aldermen was called to order by Mayor Jerry B Thornton Monday, August 29, 2005 at 7:00 PM at 132 East Broadway, immediately following a Public Hearing to consider the tax rate per $100 valuation for 2005 of $.06294.

 

Present were as follows:

 

Mayor Jerry B Thornton                                Alderwoman Ward I Carolyn Heilman

Alderman Ward I Jerry Nowlin                     Alderwoman Ward II Melissa Megas

Alderman Ward II John James                    City Admin/Clerk Patricia Cunningham

 

Absent:  Alderman Ward III Frank Frevert, Alderman Ward III Walter L Banks.

 

  1. Alderwoman Carolyn Heilman moved to approve the passage of Resolution 08.29.05, setting the tax rate of $0.6294 per $100.00 valuation for 2005.  Alderwoman Megas seconded the motion.  Four voting aye.  No nay votes.  Motion carried.

 

  1. Alderman James moved to adjourn.  Alderwoman Heilman seconded the motion.  Four voting aye.  No nay votes.  Meeting adjourned.
