BOARD OF ALDERMEN MEETING MINUTES

SEPTEMBER 26, 2005

 

 

The regular meeting of the New Franklin Board of Aldermen was called to order Monday September 26, 2005 at 7:00 PM by Mayor Jerry B Thornton at 132 East Broadway, New Franklin, Missouri.  Present were as follows:

1.      Alderwoman Heilman moved to approve the Minutes of September 12, 2005.  Alderman Nowlin seconded the motion.  Six aye votes.  No nay votes.  Motion carried.

 

2.      Alderman Banks moved to approve the bills of September 26, 2005.  Alderman Frevert seconded the motion.  Six aye votes.  No nay votes.  Motion carried.

 

3.      Alderman James moved to approve the transfer of gaming revenue funds from savings to checking in the amount of $3562.99 for training, uniforms, task force and new patrol car expenses for the 1st quarter of the fiscal year.  Alderwoman Megas seconded the motion.  Six aye votes.  No nay votes.  Motion carried.

 

4.      The City Administrator advised the Board that Building Inspector Robbey Harvey has approved a semi-permanent “skirting” for the prefabricated home at 501 S. Union Street.

 

5.      The board instructed the City Administrator to authorize the City Services Director to put needed gravel on Stagecoach Road and dress the road as the Director sees fit.

 

6.      Mayor Thornton congratulated Alderwoman Heilman and Alderman Banks and all those who volunteered their time to make this 30th Anniversary of Santa Fe Trail Days celebration a success.

 

7.      The Board will meet at the Community Building during the months of October and November while the Board Room and records room are being remodeled.

 

8.      Alderman Nowlin moved to adjourn.  Alderman Banks seconded the motion.  Six aye votes.  No nay votes.  Motion carried.  Meeting adjourned.
