The special meeting of the New Franklin Board of Aldermen was called to order by Mayor Jerry B Thornton Tuesday September 5, 2006 at 7:00 PM at 132 East Broadway, immediately following a Public Hearing to consider the tax rate per $100 valuation for 2006 of $0.6192.

Present were as follows:

1. Alderman Banks moved to have the first reading by title only of Bill 06-11, AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE RATE OF TAXES TO BE LEVIED ON ALL PROPERTY SUBJECT TO TAXATION IN THE CITY OF NEW FRANKLIN, MISSOURI FOR THE YEAR 2006. Alderwoman Heilman seconded the motion.
Ayes: Banks, Heilman, Nowlin, James, McGee
Nays: None
Motion carried

After the first reading, Alderwoman Heilman moved to approve the first reading and have the second reading by title only of Bill No. 06-11. Alderman Nowlin seconded the motion.
Ayes: Heilman, Nowlin, Banks, James, McGee
Nays: None
Motion carried

After the second reading, Alderman Banks moved to approve the second reading and accept Bill No. 06-11 into Ordinance #710. Alderman James seconded the motion.
Ayes: Banks, James, McGee, Heilman, Nowlin
Nays: None
Motion carried

2. Alderman James moved to adjourn. Alderman McGee seconded the motion. Five voting aye. No nay votes. Meeting adjourned.
