BOARD OF ALDERMEN SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
JULY 26, 2010

The special meeting of the New Franklin Board of Aldermen was called to order by Mayor C Frank Frevert Monday July 26, 2010 at 6:30 pm at 132 East Broadway, New Franklin, Missouri. Present were as follows:

City Administrator/City Clerk Patricia Cunningham

Absent: Alderman Ward I Jerry B Thornton

1. Alderwoman Heilman moved to accept Gerding Korte & Chitwood to do 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 financial audits for $22,000. Alderman Banks seconded the motion. Five voting aye. Motion carried.

2. Discussion of the poor condition of the house at Chancellor Street prompted the Board to direct the City Administrator to ask the City Attorney to draft a letter to the owner of the property asking the property be brought to code or demolished; and asking for a response to the request within 30 days with a plan of action.

3. City Administrator provided a summary of the recodification final draft for Board review. It was agreed that a time for public comment on the Municipal Codes will be held on August 9, 2010, immediately preceding the regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen. Posters will be placed in public places announcing the public comment period.

4. Higgins Asphalting of Tipton will be contacted to schedule the resurfacing of West Broadway, S Union and W Sulphur streets. City Services will need to clean out the potholes and clean the streets prior to resurfacing.

5. Alderman Thompson moved to adjourn to closed session pursuant to Chapter 610.021 (3) Personnel. Alderman McGee seconded the motion.
