2010 Tax Rate Public Hearing
AUGUST 18, 2010

The public hearing to consider the 2010 tax rate of $0.6048 was called at 6:45 pm by Mayor Pro-tem Carolyn Heilman Monday August 18, 2010 at 132 East Broadway, New Franklin, Missouri. With no comments by the public, the public hearing was closed at 7:00 pm.

The special meeting of the Board of Aldermen was called to order by Mayor Pro-tem Carolyn Heilman Monday, August 18, 2010 at 7:00 pm at 132 East Broadway, New Franklin, Missouri. Present were as follows:

Absent: Mayor C Frank Frevert, Alderman Ward I Jerry B Thornton

1. Alderman Banks moved to have the first reading, by title only, of Bill No. 08.18.10, AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE RATE OF TAXES TO BE LEVIED ON ALL PROPERTY SUBJECT TO TAXATION IN THE CITY OF NEW FRANKLIN, MISSOURI FOR THE YEAR 2010. Alderman James seconded the motion.

Motion carried.

After the first reading by title only of Bill No. 08.18.10, Alderman James moved to accept the first reading and have the second reading by title only of Bill No. 08.18.10. Alderman Thompson seconded the motion.

Motion carried.

After the second reading by title only of Bill No. 08.18.10, Alderman Thompson moved to accept the second reading and adopt Bill No. 08.18.10 as Ordinance #745. Alderman McGee seconded the motion.

2. Alderman McGee moved to adjourn to closed session pursuant to Chapter 610.021 (3) Personnel. Alderman Banks seconded the motion.

BOARD OF ALDERMEN SPECIAL CLOSED SESSION
AUGUST 18, 2010

The special closed session of the Board of Aldermen was called to order by Mayor Pro-tem Carolyn Heilman at 7:05 pm Monday August 18, 2010 at 132 East Broadway, New Franklin, Missouri. Present were as follows:

Alderman Ward III Walter Banks
Alderman Ward III Michael McGee
City Administrator/City Clerk Patricia Cunningham

Absent: Mayor C Frank Frevert, Alderman Ward I Jerry B Thornton

1. After interviews and discussions of candidates for the City Services Director position, Alderman Thompson moved to offer the position to Mr. Jeff Koenig of Lexington, Missouri at an annual salary of $29,500 with a potential $500.00 increase after six months contingent on Mr. Koenig's renewal of Class C Water Operator's License. Alderman Banks seconded the motion. Five voting aye. No nay votes. Motion carried.

2. Alderman Banks moved to adjourn. Alderman McGee seconded the motion.
